As part of CREAD’s activities, a debate meeting was organized on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, by the Division of Human Development and Social Economy (DHES), at the initiative of the Population Studies and Family Economy research team.
Dr. Merabet Imène led the event, and the head of the division, Dr. Khaled Karim, gave an opening speech in which he explained the context of this meeting, wished success to its proceedings, and noted that this activity is part of a series of meetings focusing on “Social Processes of Singleness and Couple Formation: Toward a Recomposition of Family Structures.”
Participants had the opportunity to listen to Prof. Hammouda Nacer-Eddine, who presented a talk entitled “The Determinants of Family Formation.”
The conference theme sparked great interest among participants, including experts, researchers, students, and guests.
The ensuing debate was rich and diverse, addressing several points raised by the speaker.
