The aim of the present paper is to construct a prospective life table adapted to the mortality experience of the Algerian retired. Mortality data for the retired population is only available for the age range [45-95[ and for the period [2004-2013]. The use of the conventional prospective mortality models is not supposed to lead to a robust mortality forecast given the shortness of the lenght of the historical data. To ensure a robust forecasting, we use the global population mortality as an external reference. The positionning of the experience mortality on the reference will allow to project the Age Specifc Death Rates based on the experience of the retired population.
